The Gladiator XComp H/P is a high performance 200TW tire that uses motorsport-grade cap compound that maintains grip as the tire temperatures heighten. Large contact patch reduces slip under heavy acceleration and hard cornering increasing sustainable g-forces under load. To contest and inform, what Karlie said below. These tires are designed and built for the track. Canyon driving has varying surfaces that are not necessarily conducive to a "track tire". Track tires work in conjunction with track specific surfaces. Regular street surfaces and parking lots are just that, basic and usually cheap made surfaces, whereas track specific surfaces are designed to work with a track specific tire. With more testing, you would find that you would learn the XComp on the track and get the tire to come to you. Test, test, test! No tire is plug n play!

Not my favorite 200 TW tire

My biggest complaint with them is at the limit they are slippery. I didn’t feel at all safe on the canyons with them and on track I had to be patient for them to get hot and grip marginally better. They’re not hockey pucks but they seem not to grip as well as a PS4S which is frustrating since these are supposed to be a 200 TW tire. At the limit, they slide out and are quite noisy. On the track, I felt the car had way more in it to grip but I was being held back with the tire slipping out mid corner. The plus to these tires is that they are consistent with multiple hot laps. My plans have changed- I would not take these to autox for competitive times, these I will have to use as a practice tire and focus on seat time.

Bang for your buck

Cannot go wrong. Had these on my GLA45 AMG and loved the traction and performance. Did not break the bank either. Perfect tire for daily driving in SoCal, and the occasional track day!
