Whether you're chasing personal bests on the circuit or seeking exhilarating grip for spirited street driving, the Victra VR2 delivers a winning combination of advanced technology, consistent performance, and remarkable durability.

Engineered for the Enthusiast:

The Maxxis Victra VR2 is a DOT-compliant ultra-high performance summer tire, a true successor to the acclaimed VR-1. Maxxis engineers poured their racing expertise into this tire, creating a product that excels in demanding conditions while maintaining excellent street manners.

Key Features & Benefits:

  • Next-Generation Racing Compound: Featuring a newly developed, reinforced carbon black compound, the Victra VR2 reaches optimal operating temperature quickly, delivering immediate and consistent dry traction. This innovative compound ensures excellent heat-cycle performance, meaning your grip remains strong even after multiple intense laps or spirited drives.
  • Aggressive, Optimized Tread Pattern: The state-of-the-art aggressive tread design maximizes your contact patch for unparalleled dry performance, providing confidence-inspiring grip through corners and under heavy braking and acceleration. Its intelligent design also retains solid wet performance, offering reliable control in unexpected rain showers.
  • Ultra-Stiff Casing Design: Experience near-telepathic steering response and enhanced vehicle communication thanks to the VR2's brand-new casing design. This ultra-high stiffness construction optimizes the contact footprint, allowing for precise inputs and a more responsive driving experience
  • Reinforced Construction: With a reinforced bead area, two high-tensile-strength steel belts, and a spiral-wound nylon cap, the Maxxis Victra VR2 is built for durability and stability under extreme loads. The super high turnup sidewall ply further improves lateral stiffness and responsiveness, reducing tire deflection during aggressive maneuvers.
  • Consistent Performance: Drivers consistently praise the Victra VR2 for its remarkable consistency across multiple heat cycles and sessions. Unlike some competitors, this tire maintains its peak grip and predictable breakaway characteristics, allowing you to push harder and refine your driving with confidence.
  • Excellent Communication: The VR2 provides exceptional feedback through the steering wheel, allowing drivers to feel the tire's limits and react accordingly. This communicative nature makes it a forgiving tire for beginners while enabling experienced drivers to modulate grip for faster laps
  • Dual-Purpose Capability: Designed as a true "double-duty" tire, the Maxxis Victra VR2 offers impressive track capabilities without sacrificing street comfort. It boasts surprisingly quiet highway manners for a high-performance tire, making it suitable for both weekend track days and daily commuting.

Ideal For:

  • Track Day Enthusiasts: Achieve personal bests (PB hunters!) and enjoy extended, consistent performance during HPDE, Time Attack, and autocross events.
  • Weekend Warriors: Experience the thrill of superior grip and responsive handling for spirited drives on your favorite backroads.
  • Performance Driving: Upgrade your vehicle's handling and braking with a tire that inspires confidence in every turn.

Saved us.

We picked up three very special cars from the port, but one of the cars tires were dry rotted. We need to drive back to the bay the same day. TPM SAVED US.

My car is glued to the floor and I don't know what to do.

Paul recommended me a set of VR2's after the Nexens were sold out for the year. Being the first set of 200tw tires I've ever had and swapping over from clapped 6 year old Yokohama Flevas, I really didn't know what to expect. My 2004 Miata being the tin can that it is, I didn't notice much difference in road noise. Thanks to Paul balancing the wheels to a tee it removed all of my steering wheel vibration that I had previously had. When I am doing my grocery runs to Trader Joes the car is extremely planted and the same goes for autocross. During my first practice lap I realized just how much more gripped up the car was and how little I was rolling over/sloshing around. Through slaloms and sweeps the car is GLUED to floor and inspire so much confidence to just keep on the throttle. If you're coming from a 300tw you will spend more time learning breaking zones and new limits as the better compound and stiffer side walls enable the car. Most corners where you would typically need to modulate throttle for a better exit, you'll instead just be taking them flat out. I've yet to experience understeer in the car since using them and have only gotten it to oversteer through patches of thick water.

Exceptional Track Day tire from Maxxis

The VR2 is as advertised from Maxxis. I was able to achieve a personal best and was also my first time trying their offerings. Fastest laps were the first session but as the day went on the performance has very little fall off across the 4 sessions we did. It was a cool day so that likely helped, but overall I was impressed with the pace and endurance of the tires . Definitely going to keep running these until they give out and I'll share my thoughts near the end of their life.
